Be Confident, Success Is For The Confident!
By Gerald S. Sikazwe
Confidence is a virtue that eases life if possessed and firmly tucked in one’s character. It pays off well as it enables those that have it to maneuver swiftly in most situations of life, mostly frightful ones. However, if confidence is lacked it has a way of robbing people off their success in different situations. It is a must have, mostly if you are a sort of person who is not content with left-overs, one who seeks to realize his or her dreams.
With confidence there is nothing that is impossible, all things can be done and all dreams can surely be realized. Now confidence like many virtues that are necessary to possess, it is not an external brewed virtue (as it has often been though of) but is an internally generated virtue. It is worked on by ourselves, as we interact with others and as we apply ourselves in different situations in our day-to-day life. It stems from the understanding that “we can” and that something “can be done.”
Confidence is a product of mental image we have of ourselves and that of the world around us. It comes from how positively we view the world, those around us and ourselves. Those unsure of what and who they are tend to have fluctuating confidence. Those who think they are failures are underprivileged tend to exhibit the lowest of confidence in most situations and thus they fail terribly and easily give up. However, those that look at themselves as being champions, winners and that everything is possible so long one attaches the necessary understanding and efforts prove to be the most confident in many settings of life.
I am urging you all to develop your self-esteems, because you cannot afford to be less confident or not confident at all. Success in activities gravely requires confidence and so if you are mal-nourished of it failure is a sure and inevitable reward. Self-confidence is a child of how you look at yourself mentally, if today you change from looking down on yourself, your achievements and actions and instead start appreciating yourself more by valuing your success (however minimal), your actions and by seeing yourself as a victor in any situation you may be faced with then confidence would be developed.
Be confident, success is for the confident
